Telstra wanted to develop a mechanism for displaying brochures in a digital format in-store. C4Digital explored solution options and helped Telstra expand their brief to create an innovative retail digital media solution. An engaging system that would combine a powerful interactive touch screen sales support system with dynamic digital merchandising capabilities.
RetailVision delivers a stylish yet simple touch screen navigation system that both customers and staff find easy to use. Furthermore RetailVision is a centrally managed distributed system. System administration, content publishing, network operations and reporting are delivered as web applications from the centrally based RetailVision servers. Content serving is delivered by each distributed RetailVision client kiosk.
After introducing RetailVision in 2007, Telstra reported a 40% increase in sales on the items displayed on the in-store kiosks. RetailVision is now being deployed across the entire Telstra retail network.
Currently C4Digital supports 2003 kiosks in 237 stores with 98% uptime. This is planned to increase to over 300 stores.
